Hematon Agricultural Equipment Access Programme

Terms & Conditions

These terms govern participation in the Hematon Agricultural Equipment Access Programme.

Version 1.0 · Effective date: 1 September 2026

Important

Equipment is only released after 100% of the agreed purchase price has been paid and verified by Hematon, followed by formal fulfilment authorisation.

Important Ownership Notice

Equipment ownership is not transferred at any stage of the lay-by process until the full agreed purchase price has been paid in its entirety and the payment has been formally verified by Hematon Agro Services Ltd.

Paying a deposit, making partial instalment payments, having an active lay-by agreement, or reaching any particular percentage of payment does not transfer ownership and does not entitle the customer to receive, collect, or take delivery of the equipment.

Equipment will only be released after 100% of the agreed purchase price has been received and verified, and Hematon has formally authorised the release of the equipment.

1. Payment Plan

The applicant agrees to pay the required deposit before commencing the agreed lay-by payment plan. The remaining balance shall be paid in accordance with the payment period selected during application.

2. Delivery & Release of Equipment

Equipment will only be released, collected, or delivered after 100% of the agreed purchase price has been paid and verified by Hematon Agro Services Ltd.

No equipment shall be released on the basis of deposit payment alone or partial instalment payments.

Where home delivery is selected, delivery may attract an additional transport charge and the customer must provide the correct delivery location.

3. Ownership

Title and ownership of the equipment remains with Hematon Agro Services Ltd until the full purchase price has been paid in full, verified, and the equipment has been formally handed over.

The programme workflow is: 100% PAID → PAYMENT VERIFIED → READY FOR FULFILMENT → COLLECTION/DELIVERY → OWNERSHIP COMPLETED.

4. Default

If the applicant fails to make two consecutive monthly payments, Hematon Agro Services Ltd may apply the programme default and cancellation provisions applicable to the customer account and payment plan.

5. Maintenance

The applicant is responsible for the proper use and maintenance of the equipment from the date of formal handover.

6. Cancellation

Cancellation after deposit payment may attract a 10% administrative fee. Any refundable balance will be processed subject to the programme cancellation and refund procedure.

7. Documents & Verification

The applicant must provide the identity and supporting documents required for the customer type and equipment application.

Hematon may verify submitted documents before approving an application and may request replacement documents where a submission is unclear, incomplete, expired, or otherwise unsuitable for verification.

8. Payments

Payments are only credited to the customer lay-by account after Hematon verifies the submitted payment details and proof of payment.

Submitting proof of payment does not by itself mean that the payment has been verified or credited.

9. Fulfilment

After full payment has been verified, Hematon will initiate the applicable procurement and fulfilment process.

Collection or delivery may only take place after Hematon confirms that the equipment is ready and formally authorises release.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from the agreement should first be addressed through good-faith engagement between the customer and Hematon and, where appropriate, mediation before further remedies are pursued.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia.

12. Customer Acknowledgement

By accepting these Terms & Conditions and, where required, signing and uploading the applicable agreement document, the applicant confirms that the information provided is accurate, that they have read and understood these Terms & Conditions, and that they agree to be bound by the programme rules stated above.
